This Level 5, Advanced Certificate Course in Hospitality Management (Food & Beverage) programme is perfect if you have existing Hospitality experience and you’re looking at getting to the next level of Hospitality Management. We’ve designed this course to be delivered in our simulated Hospitality workplace on campus, so you’ll get all the hands-on experience you need to make the next move in your Hospitality Career.
Our dedicated Hospitality teachers teach you everything you need to be a Supervisor from ‘managing staff relationships’ to the skills you need to ‘manage a Hospitality premises’ including stock control, rostering systems and managing the operations in a Hospitality premises This 20 week hospitality programme will give all the skills you need to work in a Supervisory and/or Management position in a Hospitality environment.

This module focuses on the wide range of responsibility inherent in the jobs of supervisors and managers in managing and maintaining staff relationships for organisational and service efficiency and growth.

This module covers customer service supervision in food and beverage operations.

This module focuses on the supervision of stock and control systems in food and beverage operations.

Students who complete this programme may wish to continue onto the National Diploma in Hospitality Management.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates of this programme will be capable of effectively, competently and professionally working as supervisors/assistant managers of the food and beverage service operations in a bar or club, restaurant or establishments that provide hospitality functions. -

ENTRY CRITERIA
Domestic students only. Must be over 18 years of age or over and must have:
a) A national qualification in hospitality at level 3 or 4 or equivalent
AND/OR
b) Equivalent work experience in hospitality of a minimum of 2-4 years (equivalent to course content at level 3 or level 4)
Learners who have English as a second language must have an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 5.5 with no individual band score lower than 5.0 OR the equivalent score in an NZIE approved English Proficiency Test.
