Adrian is a highly motivated academic with more than 10 years teaching experience at the university level. Adrian has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. While Adrian worked with higher education institutions in Malaysia, he also had the opportunity to teach offshore programmes offered by East London University (UK), Southern New Hampshire University (US), Victoria Wellington University (New Zealand), Southern Queensland University, and Edith Cowan University (Australia). This enriching experience provided him the exposure to varied educational systems and practices in the UK, US and Australasia.
Prior to his academic career, Adrian worked for a decade with two large multinational corporations – British Oxygen Company (UK) and Triumph International (Germany). He has held senior management positions within business-to-business and FMCG industries. Adrian also has experience in consultancy services and corporate training, specializing in the design and implementation of marketing strategy. His corporate career was entrenched in strategic marketing with a consistent focus on mobilising change and pursuing constant innovation.
Adrian’s primary research is in the area of marketing and entrepreneurship. He has published several articles in international journals such as the Australasian Marketing Journal, International Business Research and International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing as well as presented papers in international conferences. Collaborating with his research counterparts from Auckland University of Technology and University Utara Malaysia, Adrian’s most recent research project centres on health marketing is funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia.
