Hi, I’m Gaul from Seoul, South Korea!
I started General English at the end of January 2015 and studied for around 9 months.
Before NZIE I studied at Chung-Ang University, now I’m back in Korea continuing my studies and pursuing my career in International Logistics.
My biggest challenge at NZIE was to not use my first language. Actually for my first few months, there weren’t any Korean students, so it was no problem, but after a while I started meeting people from my country and that’s when the real challenge began.
Before I went to NZ, I made a resolution not to hang out with Korean friends and it worked! I met people from all over the world. Even though I couldn’t communicate with them perfectly, I wasn’t afraid to talk with them.
I chose NZIE because of the beautiful location and high quality education.
At NZIE the atmosphere is so friendly and everyone is so welcoming. The time I spent at NZIE was so challenging and really shaped me as a person. I’ll keep these memories with me all my life!
