One of the greatest things about being a student at NZIE is the amount of opportunities we get to take what we’ve learnt in class and apply it to real-life scenarios – essentially taking our classes #beyondthewalls of a classroom!
This week my SEO and Google Analytics class got the chance to conduct client brief meetings with some amazing business owners – thanks to our tutor Jay Best.
Each group was assigned a client to interview and our job was to get all the information we needed from them to create a client brief for their SEO strategy.
It was a great way to give us a taste of what it’s really like to hold client meetings in the real world, and learn the best ways to communicate and engage with our future clients!
Here’s what Nnyl Hubilla thought of the whole experience:
The Social Media Marketing class also got a little taste of real-life client interviews, as they had meetings with a few business owners to create social media campaigns and audits for their clients.
The best way to learn is by doing, and NZIE has given us countless opportunities to do just that. Taking our classes #beyondthewalls has been so beneficial for our learning and has taken our experience studying at NZIE to the next level.
A big thanks to our tutors Jay and Chris for organising meet-ups with these awesome Kiwi businesses and giving us a chance to work with them throughout the term – it’s going to be an exciting one!
