The NZIE Business, Management and Leadership Symposium 2019 took place in Auckland on 13-14 November and was hosted by the NZIE Business School.
Our theme for 2019 was, Development In Applied Business Research and Implications for Leadership, Knowledge and Business Management Practices.
Our keynote speakers included NZIE industry partner Pam Elgar, Chief Executive of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® New Zealand. She spoke on how industry-academic engagement is vital for the not-for-profit sector and for society in general. Pam concentrated on the role NZIE students have in shaping and delivering business process projects at her organisation. Other speakers also included Inna Piven, an NZIE Applied Business and Digital Marketing Tutor, on the seeking customer engagement on social media and Dr. Martin Robson, an NZIE Applied Business Senior Tutor, on the use of intuition by elite organisational leaders. |
