Eunice’s Business Internship

Eunice is proudly doing her internship at The Peace Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that helps to establish and maintain peaceful and non-violent relationships by teaching skills that encourage better communication, co-operation and non-violent conflict resolution, both in New Zealand and overseas.

Eunice’s internship organisation provides her with training and really hands-on work in Human Resources, her chosen area of studies. She is currently working on helping the organisation develop a HR system.

Lucy Stewart, manager at The Peace Foundation testifies: “Eunice is our second intern coming from NZIE’s business programmes and I’m very impressed with the quality of their work. They are very proactive, very well prepared and willing to put their learning into practice”

Eunice’s busy life

“Besides doing my internship I’m also working part-time in a retail shop. And which is great because the internship hours do not clash with my paid job. During the internship period, we don’t have to attend lectures on campus, so that gives us time to work part-time in a paid job and do the internship project at the same time.

I really believe in direct (hands-on) learning, more than theory-based studies. I’m really glad my business course includes an internship, I’d even like to do it for longer if I could.” – says Eunice.

At NZIE

She adds – “I had fun studying at NZIE, I had fun meeting new people and doing my internship. I felt very supported by the school, I never had any issues with them and if I had any concerns they looked into my concerns and supported me to get through them.”

Congratulations for the great work at The Peace Foundation, Eunice. We are very proud of you.
