Starting a new online course like the Digital Marketing Diploma can be daunting, but NZIE’s Client Success Team can help. We look at what assistance is available for students to make the most of their time at NZIE in this three-part blog series.

NZIE’s Client Success Team can offer a number of resources to not only provide assistance during your study, but to help you land your dream marketing job afterwards.

NZIE Client Success Advisor Janaina Aguiar shares her top tips for approaching a NZQA Level course, and how to settle into our online campus.

Introducing NZIE's Client Success Advisor, Janaina Aguiar.

Jana’s best advice & tips for new students joining and settling into NZIE:

Tip 1. Make sure you know your WHY; why you are doing your programme, what your goals are once you complete the Digital Marketing course.

Tip 2. Set aside enough time to commit to the course.

Tip 3. Do your best to engage and attend classes and tutorials, as the tutors give so much value throughout the breakout rooms. In addition, do all the simulated classes so you are prepared for class each session.

Tip 4. Reach out for help, as NZIE is always here and want the best outcome for you. Also, build your support network of family and/or friends. This is so you have people who know what you are doing and going through that can offer support.

Tip 5. Plan ahead with your routine and hours per week for self-directed learning. Set aside time to make it a continued study habit.

Tip 6. Make use of all the career and study resources we have on offer. If you have been accepted for an NZIE course you have a plethora of tools available. Support plans, one-on-one sessions, learning hub resources and more are available to students. If you ask for help, we will go hand-in-hand together to help you.

“Lastly, remember to prioritise well. And get clear on your WHY so that you can continue to go back to your WHY when you’re stuck.”

What is the Client Success Team?

The Client Success Team is the first point of contact for any student at NZIE. If NZIE was in a building, the Client Success Advisor Jana would be in the reception. Her role connects new students to the relevant people and places on NZIE’s virtual campus.

The Client Success Team consists of:

Janaina Aguiar – Client Success Advisor

Miriam Seifert – Programme Leader

Rajika Vyas – Senior Tutor and Academic Coach

Shirley Wood – Well-being Coach

Terehia Walker – Māori and Pasifika Support Coach

The Client Success Team looks after both academic and non-academic issues and challenges for students on their journey.

The second NZIE digital marketing blog post in our series will look at the Client Success Team’s support and resources available. These will help the future of your marketing career, whether it is an entry-level role right through to management jobs.

Assistance is available writing cover letters and CVs, tackling those tricky interview questions and getting you in touch with agencies.

The third NZIE digital marketing post in our series will look at all of the support which is available to students throughout their time studying at NZIE.
