Several online tools can help you develop and implement your digital marketing or SEO strategy.

Whether you’re brand-new to digital marketing or simply brushing up on your SEO knowledge, it’s helpful to know what tools are available.

To help you save some time, we have listed some of our favourite digital marketing tools. These tools will allow you to expand your knowledge while assisting in your strategies.

Semrush

Semrush is a goldmine for digital marketing. The platform offers everything from free courses to keyword research tools. However, paid memberships enable access to a plethora of helpful tools. The content writing assistant can help you optimise content for your landing pages and content marketing endeavours.

You can track domain authority, competitors, and ranking content to identify areas of your website that might need strengthening. Link-building tools and site audits can help you get into the nitty-gritty of SEO and improve domain authority to sneak ahead of competitors.

The site is sectioned into different categories to help you navigate tools. These categories include SEO, local SEO, social media, and content marketing, to name a few.

The courses offered by the platform are in-depth and allow you to receive several certificates in SEO and digital marketing.

Ahrefs

This tool is very similar to the previously discussed. Ahrefs provides tools for keyword research, content exploration, site audits, and rank tracking. The tool works as a dashboard to provide incredible insight into your website’s performance.

You can view your rankings for target keywords and compare them with competitors. Ahrefs offers rich information to make informed decisions to continue shaping your strategy.

Google Keyword Planner

Google keyword planner is a simple keyword research tool. It provides insights on keywords like volume, competition, PPC value, and more. The primary advantage of Keyword Planner is that it’s straight from the source. Unlike other tools, the platform is run by Google, which makes it the most reliable for all metrics.

Integration with Google Ads means you can easily save and track keywords for your campaigns, all in one platform. For any digital marketer, Google Keyword Planner is the ultimate keyword research tool. Plus, it’s free!

Canva

Canva is a fantastic tool for businesses. Unlike the formerly mentioned, Canva is for the creative end of the spectrum. Whether you’re creating visuals for Google Ads, infographics, or any visual element required, Canva is the one-stop shop.

More and more digital marketers are turning away from complicated, expensive tools like Photoshop and opting for cheaper alternatives. Canva offers several elements to include in your creatives. With a paid subscription option, you can access a variety of elements that assist in creating sharp, eye-catching visuals.

Mailchimp

Mailchimp streamlines email marketing to the max. This all-in-one program allows you to create and send engaging emails, manage your audiences, and reach a wide range of people. The platform is ideal for businesses of all sizes and can help refine your email marketing strategy.

The platform allows for easy A/B testing to determine what deliverables drive the best results. Mailchimp provides extensive analytics to help you gauge the success of your email marketing campaign.

Mailchimp and email marketing are great tools if you’re looking to connect with customers and build brand loyalty. Emails feel personal and provide an opportunity to reward new and returning customers. Such rewards could be discounts, referral codes, or early access codes, for example.

Use These Tools to Perfect Your Strategy

Sometimes digital marketing requires a little bit of trial and error to find the best path. The tools mentioned in this article provide space to develop an effective strategy based on accurate metrics. You can create the elements of your ads, emails, or website optimisation.
