nzie student review Tatiana

Tatiana Lebedeva

Diploma in Digital Marketing Graduate

What were you doing before you came to NZIE?

I had been in marketing for 10 years. However, when I became qualified 10 years ago it was just the foundations of marketing. Consequently, we only had one chapter about “marketing on the internet”. Since then, the world has changed a lot and that’s why I decided to study digital marketing. In fact, I believe that the marketing world is now mostly digital.

What were you hoping to gain from NZIE?

I studied with NZIE in hopes to gain relevant digital marketing knowledge to keep me updated in the industry. Additionally, I also gained a lot of friends and connections and will forever appreciate my time at NZIE.

How did you find your studying experience?

Studying at NZIE was something special, we experienced online education which was new to me. Furthermore, remote learning proved that we can be flexible and adapt accordingly. In addition, we can deal with any situation that we come up against.

Did you gain what you wanted from the Digital Marketing Diploma?

Yes, all my expectations were met. I’m really happy I was in this programme and completed this course. As a result, I use all the skills I learnt, every day now at my job.

Where are you at now since graduating?

I’m working as an in-house marketer for a local company in Auckland and I am happy with the role.

What are your future goals now that you’re qualified?

I will definitely use ALL my NZIE background in my future career and I’m looking forward to opening new doors. I may continue to upskill with short courses where needed to stay updated, due to the industry constantly evolving. But I’m fairly confident with the foundation knowledge I’ve already gained in the Digital Marketing Diploma.

Would you recommend studying with NZIE?

Of course, why not? Here you’ve got professionals who have experience in the industry. Nowadays we shouldn’t learn from professors with a scientist background, we should learn from experts who have gained experience and learnt from practice.

One word to sum up what you have gained from the Digital Marketing Diploma: TOOL

My experience of what I have gained is a practical tool. Which I can use every day in my job so thank you NZIE. I’m so excited to have been able to graduate and wear a gown! It’s a massive achievement, for me and my family (back in Russia).
