Take a leap into the digital marketing realm with Elle Wuthrich

Ella Digital Marketing Graduate

Elle Wuthrich

Career Changer

In today’s digital world, we find ourselves more connected to each other than ever before. There is an importance to understanding and learning the ins and outs of our digital world. Here, we share Elle’s journey towards navigating her way through the digital marketing landscape.

Initially working as a financial advisor, Elle originally completed a traditional marketing degree many years ago. However, recognising the constantly changing nature of technology and the importance of knowing about digital marketing, she decided to re-enter the field. “I am my brand, and I need to market myself and with the way technology is going, you constantly need to evolve. I was looking for a course that was well-rounded and gave me the opportunity to learn all aspects of digital marketing and that’s why I chose NZIE” she explained.

Elle’s commitment to pursue digital marketing while also working full time might seem daunting to some. However, at NZIE, we offer students like Elle the flexibility to complete their online studies in either one year full-time or two years part-time. “Because it was online, it was easy! I was working full time and was doing the course part time for over two years. It was totally manageable, and a couple of the tutors were stand outs!”

The Journey

Despite not being a young student, Elle was undeterred by the idea of returning to study again. The process of applying to become a student again after many years can be daunting, but with NZIE, Elle found it was smooth and easy. She always looked forward to her classes, particularly those taught by great tutors like Matt, whose passion for TikTok was inspiring. His expertise provided Elle with the tools, knowledge and confidence she needed for her next career move.

Real World

After completing her course and graduating, Elle stepped into the real world and was approached to become an account manager for an SEO business. She explains during her process that “things didn’t feel so foreign” because NZIE courses teach students the same programs used by real businesses! Ensuring you feel prepared right from the start. Elle was able to transition seamlessly “from doing it in class into the real world”.

Guidance in Digital Marketing

Digital marketing is always developing but to have a guide along the way is invaluable, something NZIE can offer you. If you’re feeling unsure about diving into digital marketing, Elle has a suggestion: “Try out another course from NZIE, to really get a feel for it. From there you’ll be able to decide whether to take the plunge and do the diploma at level 5 or 7!”
