Neevashni’s Career Success with Digital Marketing Agency Verum.

Neevashni Ram - Digital Marketing Success story

Neevashni Ram

Diploma in Digital Marketing Graduate

Ever wondered how our Digital Marketing graduates are doing 3-4 years down the track? After starting their Digital Marketing journey with us? Neevashni is no stranger to NZIE. As we’ve previously captured her success story interview three years earlier. When she was part-way through the Digital Marketing Diploma. Furthermore, we also have another blog about Neevashni’s job hunting experience and how she was able to gain employment. This was prior to her career success with Digital Marketing Agency Verum.

Introducing Neevashni

My name is Neevashni Ram and I’m the Digital Marketing and Social Media Coordinator at Verum. We are a full-service digital marketing agency in Auckland based in the CBD.

“If it wasn’t for NZIE’s Diploma I would not have been able to get the job that I’m in now at Digital Marketing Agency Verum.”

See Neevashni’s video success story and adapted transcript below:

How did you secure your job at Verum?

Upon the hiring process, I was made to do two tests. One was to create a whole social media campaign and the second was to write a blog post with SEO best practices in mind. This was because they wanted to test how good my knowledge within digital marketing was prior to hiring me.

“I just felt like I was at a really good advantage against the other applicants. Because I already had all this knowledge about digital marketing, and I knew how to do the work.”

So yeah, I nailed the job tests and got hired at Verum – I couldn’t be more happier!

What’s it like working for a Digital Marketing Agency?

Working in an agency like Verum is really fun. Although, agency life does have its challenges which is great though because it keeps me on my toes.

As a result, I get exposure to all different types of work. For example, it’s not just social media and content. To illustrate it’s also a bit of SEO, Google ads, website maintenance, digital design, and also photography. It’s a good mix of everything which is great and that’s exactly what I wanted.

Do you think the NZIE Diploma in Digital Marketing was worth it?

The Digital Marketing Diploma at NZIE was totally worth my investment! And not only has it helped boost my career but it’s giving me more career opportunities and a higher earning potential. Including a more diverse skill set in digital.

For instance, I learned how to:

  • write a well optimised post with SEO best practices in mind
  • create social media posts that are effective and resonate with different types of target audiences
  • analyse data from ad campaigns, social media insights and Google Analytics
  • design and create content using Adobe creative cloud – which is amazing!
  • Plus so much more

Conclusion

Ultimately, NZIE’s Digital Marketing Diploma has given me more confidence to be a better marketer. Moreover, it’s really given me more exposure and experience in the digital marketing industry. Above all, I can’t wait to see where else this Diploma takes me.
